In the spring of 1898 Alessandro Manaresi strolled through the center of Florence and realized that there was no bar in which he could enjoy a good Caffè. While gazing at the magnificent facade of Or San Michele, he decided to create a pleasant meeting place for Florentines himself. Thus, on October 6, 1898, the first bar in which the coffee could be enjoyed standing opened.
This way to enjoy coffee was quickly known as "Caffè dei Ritti" and Caffe Manaresi became synonymous with excellent coffee.
The traditional coffee blend "Caffè Manaresi" exists since 1898. To this day the best coffees are selected with the same care and rigor and roasted with passionate devotion: In small quantities, in the traditional process, under careful control of human experience that can never be replaced by machines.
