Easy Serving Espresso, is an open standard for pods by the Istituto Nazionale Espresso Italiano.
The ESE system has been successfully used in Italy and around the world for decades. Therefore, the tabs are available from almost all Italian roasters! The E.S.E pads are also referred to as Cialde, Pods and Tabs.
A pod consists of 7 grams of coffee and 0.2 grams of paper and is thus fully biodegradable.
