At the 2014 international coffeetaster event in Brescia, the "Gold Arabica" from Caffe Castorino lived up to it's name.
145 italian und international coffee roaster presented themselves to a jury of IIAC (Instituto Internazionale Assaggiatori Caffe - international institute of coffee tasters). The judges from nine countries then reviewed the coffees according to their sensoric and flavour characteristics.
The "Gold Arabica" convinced in the category for italian espresso and was rewarded with gold as award winner.
The "Torrefazione Antonio Castorino" was founded in 1946 by a native of Sicily: Antonio Castorino and initially operated as a partnership with roasters from Messina and Turin. The 65-year long tradition Castorino Antonio's is continued to this day by his heirs with undiminished passion for classic Italian espresso.
