The story of our "youngest" Italian roaster began in the 1960s with the opening of the "Caffetteria Angiuli" in Grassano. A small town in the south of Italy, in the province of Matera. Already as a small boy, Domenico Angiuli discovered his passion for coffee in the coffee house of his parents, which led him 20 years later to found the roastery "Cokito".
Years of experience and passion for coffee have allowed the roasting plant to grow further, until a new home was found in 2006, even further south.
Caffè Cokito is now passed on in the second generation by the sons of Domenico, who continue to personally supervise every step of roasting with the same passion.
Caffè Cokito is gently roasted in the drum roaster, a dark roast typical for southern Italy, and immediately convinced us with its perfect balance of aroma and body. A creamy, intense espresso!
